Kylie Minogue 2020 Côtes du Provence Rosé

I hold a very special place in my heart for Kylie Minogue. I was almost three when ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ came out and Kylie was my icon. She became an icon for the rest of Britain too, as she brought daily Australian sunshine into our late 1980s brown corduroy lives, and judging by her record breaking Glastonbury set in 2019, she absolutely still is one.⁣

Kylie has joined the crowd of celebs releasing their own wines. The craze will undoubtedly irk many in the wine industry and I think if winemaking were my livelihood, I might be a little bit miffed. Making wine is a precarious way to earn a living for most – their craft has been honed through generations of toil and the work itself is challenging, grimy and gritty. As nimble as she is, I can’t see Kylie cleaning out the inside of a tank – and, anyway, that is not where the Princess of Pop belongs. ⁣

But celeb wines do bring something valuable to the wine trade – and that’s their fans. An excited, engaged, bustling marketplace is good for everybody and these wines will be the catalyst for opening up the world of wine for many consumers. Kylie has one of the most popular wine ranges at @Morrisons, where her 2020 Côtes de Provence rosé will be stocked exclusively. ⁣

With a pale Vintage Rose hue, this Provence is clean and mineral on the palate with fruit as peachy as those fabulous gold hot pants. Light, elegant, a little flirty – Kylie’s rosé is as deliciously charming as she is.
