After a period as a volunteer in the environmental sector, Miria Bracali followed her instinct and embraced her innate passion for wine. Miria graduated in Chemistry and began her career in wine, starting work at one of the most authoritative companies on the Italian wine scene: Casa Vinicola Cecchi @cecchi_winery. There, she took on roles with increasing responsibility and now she is the Winery Technical Director and Production Manager.⁣

As Technical Director, Miria coordinates the other managers of the company in the definition and development phase of new projects. Her responsibilities concern both decision-making aspects on the style of wine and other aspects related to production philosophies (for example, everything that concerns the conversion of the vineyards from conventional to organic farming).⁣

In the role as Production Manager, Miria is involved in the improvement of qualitative performances and energy saving procedures, derived from technological implementations in the production system.⁣

Miria leads a team of about 30 people, whose work is constantly monitored both from the side of correctness of production activities, and from the side of well-being and safety for workers.⁣

Meet Miria on my #WednesdayWineWomen here where we taste the Villa Cerna Chianti Classico Riserva 2016.
