“I’ve worked as front of house and management in London-based restaurants for about a decade for names like Maze by Gordon Ramsey, Portland & La Fromagerie. I didn’t really begin focusing on wine until quite late into the game as a front of house manager. It was always a specialist subject you were expected to pass over to the hired wine specialist, and most wine professionals across all kinds of businesses were men in suits. ⁣

When low intervention wines became a professional focus for me through working at Weino BiB, a specialist wine bar in Dalston, I felt like I found a niche that I could really relate to. There was less emphasis on the established rules of winemaking and more emphasis on environmental responsibility and artistic license. It was rebellious, creative and a new experience every time. I now hope to pass on the absolute joy of finding wine interesting to those who might see it as something formal and rigid. ⁣

With my partner Matt, a digital creative with a thirst for natural wine, we built a brand around no-nonsense education, inclusivity and environmental concerns - as well as our love of all things metal and macabre. We are hoping to grow our offering of workshops and classes soon.”⁣
