Wednesday Wine Women: @juanicultura
Juanita is a passionate woman from Colombia, who has been enjoying embracing different cultures from her experiences living in Sweden, Chile, America and now the UK.
Yearning to develop her connection with wine, Juanita started working in the food industry, initially as a Pastry Chef. In this role, she focused on creating recipes, whilst discovering new tastes and learning how to balance flavours. Juanita found this to be fulfilling work, but it was elevated to a whole new level when she started learning about how to pair dishes with wine.
From there, Juanita wanted to further her understanding of wine, including the winemaking process itself. Juanita completed her WSET Level 3 and she will be embarking on a degree in Enology & Viticulture in autumn this year.
Ultimately, Juanita aims to use her passion to become a winemaker, creating new wines that engage peoples’ senses and deliver a new and unique experience through every sip.
