SUNDAY 23RD FEBRUARY 2020 – ZODIAC WINE TASTING
Merge the practice of intention setting with wine tasting! Wine has been a part of ritual for thousands of years – it helps us to lose our inhibitions and connect with higher ideas and, of course, other people. Our Zodiac Wine Tasting this month welcomes the Pisces season (but you can be any star sign to join in), where we’ll enjoy 4 wines inspired by this theme, whilst setting intentions for the month ahead. You’ll take home your own personalised crystal, natal chart and some great memories of a really fun afternoon! Buy tickets here.
WEDNESDAY 26TH FEBRUARY 2020 – WINES FOR THE CHEESEBOARD
Ever paired a white wine with cheese? Or a sparkling rosé? In this wines for the cheeseboard tasting, I’ll be showing you that you most definitely can and that cheeses agree with so much more than port and Bordeaux! In the cosy, velvet-lined underground Snug at Grays & Feather, a beautiful and quirky wine parlour in the heart of Covent Garden, we’ll work our way through 5 wines that I have paired with 5 nibbles of cheese – expect the unexpected! If you haven’t been before, Grays & Feather is a wondrous place, brimming with curios and a bit of mischief – Charles Dickens once lived and worked there and it is still home to his original fireplaces (there is even one in the bathroom!). Book your place here.
THURSDAY 27TH FEBRUARY 2020 – SICILIAN WINE TASTING & FOOD PAIRING
We had a great time at the last Sicilian wine tasting and food pairing, enjoying some beautiful Sicilian wines and nibbling on some delicacies from the village of Salaparuta. Salaparuta is where Cedric Casanova hails from (a retired Cirque du Soleil tightrope walker) and where arguably the world’s best olives come from! The olives trees there are hundreds of years old and produce incredible olive oil (which is supplied to several Michelin starred restaurants including Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester and Sketch). The wines are all minimal-intervention, organic and mostly natural – Sicily is really embracing a gentler way to make wine and the results are fantastic! Click here for tickets.
